Welcome to the Yale University Computational Biology and Biomedical Informatics (CBB) Master’s Program. We’re glad to have you join our interdisciplinary community of students, faculty, and researchers advancing discoveries at the intersection of biology, medicine, data science, and artificial intelligence.
The CBB MS Program is a full-time, two-year, on-campus graduate program that prepares students to apply computational biology, biomedical informatics, data science, and AI to complex challenges in biology, medicine, and healthcare. Through a rigorous curriculum, hands-on research, and close faculty mentorship, students build the technical, coding, data analysis, and communication skills needed to thrive in a rapidly evolving field.
The program brings together expertise from computer science, statistics, data science, informatics, biology, engineering, and medicine, creating a collaborative and truly interdisciplinary learning environment. Students engage in cutting-edge research, pursue internship and career opportunities, and work alongside faculty whose research spans a broad range of computational and biomedical disciplines.
Graduates are well prepared for careers in the biotechnology, pharmaceutical, and healthcare industries, as well as in biomedical research, artificial intelligence, data science, government, and academia. The program also provides a strong foundation for students who go on to pursue PhD, MD/PhD, or other advanced graduate and professional degrees.
